Rare original antique print and article from an 1890s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a Pack of otterhounds (and one terrier friend) chasing otters. Above it is the start of an article on the breed that continues on the back. The article can easily be translated for free online from a cell phone picture of the text.
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills about half the page and measures about 8.5 x 6 inches, with a French caption below and unrelated text around it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The print is in excellent condition for its age. A soft fold line through the middle of the page is detectible, probably from where a large stack of prints may have been folded long ago.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
