"POLL-PARROT'S HOWDY DOODY PHOTO ALBUM" ADVERTISING PREMIUM
- (c) 1948 Roberts, Johnson & Rand, Division of International Shoe Company. 8.5" x 11". 12 pages. Colorful graphic setting for adhering Howdy Doody glossy character photos (each a Poll-Parrot Shoes premium).
Front & back covers and inner front cover each has a color photo image of Howdy. Inside front facing page is pre-printed large b&w photo of Howdy seated on Buffalo Bob's shoulders. Remaining four photo album pages are unused (premium photos have not been inserted and are not included).
Two center pages are words and music for "It's Howdy Doody Time" and "Poll Parrot Song." Last page includes six b&w photo images featuring Howdy characters with various comic devices used on the show. Inside back cover is full color Poll-Parrot Shoes ad titled "Howdy Flies High."
This is a very attractive unused example.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with minimal surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface/edge creasing with moderate paper discoloration. No tears or chips with minimal 1/8" spine edge separation. Colors and imagery remains bold, bright and eye-catching.
Overall we feel this is a very displayable unused example by most standards (see photos). A nice original find for the discriminating VINTAGE HOWDY DOODY and/or ADVERTISING PREMIUM MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated (7+).
